Last May we bought our first home. It is hard to believe that almost a year has passed since we were house hunting! We have enjoyed making this place our own. Now that spring is here we are starting to get the yard ready for the summer. For Shaun and I's combined birthday gifts and anniversary present my Mom provided all the lumber to build a side deck on our house. My brother Mike and one of his friends helped get the framing started and Shaun has been working on it this weekend.
Here are some pictures from when we were closing on the house. We will consider these the "before" pictures.
The work has officially begun! The dogs are very curious about the smell of new wood and the noise from all the power tools.
