Baby's First Christmas

Today I found out that we are going to induce our little David on December 17th unless he wants to make his grand entrance sooner than that. Since I am in the progressive stage of gestational diabetes and will need insulin soon, my doctor wants to induce early to ensure a healthy baby weight and delivery.

Right now David is 5 1/2 pounds and very active! I have enjoyed getting to see him every week on a specialized sonogram. To see him breathe, kick, blink his eyes, open and close his mouth, and wiggle his hands brings a huge smile to my face. I could watch him all day!

All this being said, we are excited to meet our little man in less than a month! This Christmas will be his first Christmas and we should be home by then to celebrate as a family! What a perfect Christmas present!

So exciting to have him home for Christmas! The 17th is my birthday and I came home from the hospital in a big stocking- I highly suggest a stocking picture at least, so cute! The number one rule that I tell all parents with Dec. babies is birthday presents in birthday paper! I always felt jipped when they got combined into one, my mom even let me have my birthday parties on my half birthday in June since the week before Christmas wasn't an ideal b-day party time. Many prayers for you that everything will continue to go smoothly these last few weeks!

Rachel...so exciting! I will not be in town on the 17th so we cannot come visit baby David in the hospital...bummer! That is unless he comes earlier! We are so excited to meet him. We will be praying for your delivery and Baby David. Dr. Cox is great...he even sings happy birthday to the little guy when he's born! So sweet.
