My Valentine

My sweet love Shaun planned a lovely surprise evening for me last night! This was the first year that we went out on the night of Valentine's Day!

Shaun coordinated babysitting arrangements for David with my Mom so that the two of us could go out together! He took me to a wonderful new steakhouse called Ounce. The name actually has the Greek symbol for "ounce" in front of the name too, but this computer keyboard doesn't do Greek!

It was so nice to be waited on and served several delicious courses. I loved everything I tried, but especially the lobster bisque! That stuff was divine...good to the last drop!!

The food and wine and dessert were only the icing on the cake. The real treat was getting one-on-one time with my Valentine. He has worked so hard these past few months and has balanced his time between working overtime, graduating next month, spending time with David and I when he gets home, and still helping with David's late-night feeding. God has given him an extra amount of energy where I fall short. He is definitely the protector and provider of our family :-) I am so proud of him and am honored to have him as my husband and David's father.
