Remember ...

Hello again blog world (it is Shaun):

For those of you that were at the Double Tree Hotel in San Antonio 3 years ago today you know that my life changed forever. For those of you that were not there you still probably know that my life changed forever. That is right 3 years ago today I married my DREAM girl. The second word of the acrostic that was used at our wedding was remember. As I think about this word we have just finished watching our wedding video. It is very easy to remember allot of stuff about that day in particular. It is also very easy to remember what has occurred in our life since then.

3 years ago: I remember difficult decisions being made all in the name of making our wedding just that our wedding. For those of you that are reading this and are married you know how hard that is.

I remember the relationships that were growing and being made at that time.

I remember the lives that touched ours.

Since then: I remember many of the same things. I remember the relationships that are forming and are growing. I remember the relationships that are hindered by time, distance, misunderstandings, life going in different directions and just plain life

I remember the child that we have lost together, I remember the dear family members that we have both lost

I remember buying our first house

I remember getting out of debt (all except the house)

I remember tears that have been shed because of words that have been said.

I remember the first time I lied to Rachel because I wanted something that I didn't think would happen without lying to her

I remember picking out names for a child that was not yet born and wanting to give the child a name of impact

I remember the arrival of our first child (David Mark) he is our beloved warrior.

I remember wanting more but not being sure how to get more

I remember growing a relationship with my DREAM girl in all these events.

Most of all I remember a God that has provided us with all of these things that we will be equipped to carry out the mission that he has for our family.

Thank you my love for 3 wonderful years. Thank you God for letting us dream of each other.
