Red, White, and Tacky

On the 4th of July we went to a Red, White, and Tacky party at the Kadanes house! This was such a creative idea! I did have a tacky patriotic sweater, but considering that it was 103 degrees outside....I decided not to sport the circa 1989 Americana gear.

David wore a non-tacky patriotic shirt! The heat made him very tired and made it easy for him to take several long naps this weekend. He is our little "firecracker" though :-) He is completely mobile now and exploring everything around him.



We got to see our friends the Steveners and also meet their precious daughter Mariella who was born in April.

Not everyone sported the Americana tackiness, but those who did really got into it!

Courtney Hohimer made her very own Obama skirt for the party! It randomly reminded me of "Where's Waldo." She also made a precious dress for Inara, but unfortunately I did not get a picture of it.

And last, but not least...Ben Elkins sported these red shorts. The picture speaks for itself.
