James has grown SO much since having ear tubes put in this summer. He continues to crawl all over the place, and he has recently started to pull himself up to stand! He's so proud when he discovers something new...and so are we :-)
James has a total of 8 teeth now with more on the way. Last week James weighed 21 pounds 13 ounces, but we will get his official stats on Friday.
James has a very laid back personality, but he gets feisty when we place him in his high chair while he waits for us to bring him his food! Boy does he love food...especially playing with it and making spit sounds with it! He has no fear about getting messy! James loves watching big brother David at the dinner table, and David in turn loves having an audience.
James has started to babble more. I think he can say "ball!" He has done it several times when he sees a big blue ball that we have, so I am considering it to be his first word. And "ball" was also David's first word! James continues to make his distinct "gargling" sound. The best way I can describe it is a combination between the sounds a cat and a bird would make. It's very endearing to hear.
James can be very sneaky. He makes a run for it anytime we open a door. When the pantry is open he always grabs the cans of tuna fish that we have on the floor. Then when the bathroom door is open he goes for David's little potty. James knows he is not allowed to play with the charger cord on the laptop, but he ends up finding it multiple times a day. James loves to pull books off of the bookshelf. He has pulled "Dare to Discipline" off the shelf numerous times...I am beginning to think David has sent James on a mission to hide the book so I can't find it :-)
James absolutely loved eating and playing with his birthday cake! What a fun mess!
