Since he lives in Seattle (where it was the middle of a cold, wet, and dark winter), we thought it would be more enjoyable to fly him here to San Antonio. And we are so glad we did...the weather was gorgeous and allowed us to do many activities outside! We spent alot of time downtown on the Riverwalk, then gave him a tour of Rackspace where Shaun works (it's an awesome office...not your typical corporate headquarters), went to the Pearl Brewery/Farmers Market, and to many other great restaurants and parks. David was not used to all the activities and eating out, but he had a lot of fun with Grandpa Pat.
Here are some of our favorite photos from his visit...

The guys in one of the old Sky Ride carts. When the Brackenridge Park sky ride closed, the owner of Rackspace purchased all of the old carts. He has done a great job at keeping some San Antonio nostalgia as a part of the Rackspace office!

Overall, we had a great visit with Shaun's dad and were so fortunate to spend this time with him. The boys made some great memories with him and now have several photos to cherish. This time was a gift.
