Here are a few snapshots from the past few weeks...
We took the boys to their first baseball game! We had a blast, especially David! He asked if he could play with the guys on the field :) We said that we came to watch them play. He said maybe when he "gets so big!"
That is his new question..."When I get so big, can I (fill in the blank)?" He's asked when he can chew gum, climb the rock wall at the gym, wear a watch, wear deodorant, watch Justice League....the list goes on!
Speaking of deodorant, he lathered each of his armpits with Shaun's deodorant the other day. He then returned to do it again 5 minutes later. When I said it wasn't necessary, he got mad! Let's just say he smelled very fresh that afternoon...
Since we've been pushing 90 temperatures degrees each day, what better way to burn off energy than playing in the pool. If we're not at swim lessons or the splash park, then we're playing in the kiddie pool in the backyard. The boys just LOVE water...
James loves to check the mailbox on their playhouse! There is an opening in the back where I'm tempted to stick my hand through to surprise him, but I have a feeling that that might scare him at this stage!
Nana got the boys their own lawn mower a few months ago. David loves it, and loves it even more when Shaun is mowing the yard. Here he is helping daddy mow the front lawn. He's always proud to participate :)
We went to a Daniel family reunion (my maternal grandfather's side of the family) over Memorial Day weekend. The last reunion was three years ago when David was just an infant. We enjoyed introducing James to his little cousins, as well as seeing how all the kids had grown, and visiting with family who we hadn't seen in a while. Here is a photo of the next little generation of Daniel cousins. From left to right: Max, David, Lera, Daniel, and James! They actually all made eye contact with the camera at the same time and stayed in place long enough for us to get several pictures!! What a great memory....
I hope to take some photos of David's swim lessons next week...he's so much more confident in the pool this year as opposed to last year. What a difference a year makes!
