James weighed 27 pounds at his checkup, and is almost 35 inches tall. He's much more confident in walking, climbing, and running. And he's always looking for new things to discover!
He's quite the talker now...saying two to three word sentences. His sentences usually consist of a person, a vehicle, and the word go. For instance, "Daddy car go." He's improving his communication and learning new words each day!
One of the sweetest things he does is when he sees one of our story Bibles. He looks at it, points, and whispers "cheeze us" for "Jesus."
James is content most of the time, has a gentle spirit, and wants to be with people all the time. He'd rather be sitting with us without toys, than be in a room full of toys by himself.
James has his own little quirks as well. He absolutely LOVES taking his jammies and diaper off at night. He doesn't mind that he sleeps in his own poop, but we do ;) So we've been using clear packing tape and wrapping it around the waist of his diaper before bed each night. He doesn't like that we've put an end to his sleeping in the nude!!
Here are some recent photos of the birthday boy...
Sweet James just chillin' out
Cautious of the lit cupcake
Trying not to make a mess with the cupcake...
a far cry from his cupcake experience last year!!
James called this a "blankie hat"
James loves putting things on his head. Whether it's a dish towel, a piece of clothing from the laundry basket, or his blankie...he thinks it's hilarious. But if we try to put an actual hat on him, he seems offended at the very thought of wearing it!
We love us some Mr. James...Happy birthday, little guy!
