SEVEN

Tomorrow marks the 7th anniversary of our wedding!! I find it hard to believe that we've been married that long, yet sometimes it feels like we've been together forever! So much LIFE has happened over these past 7 years :)

This year has been a year full of preparations and planning. God really placed it on our hearts to name guardians for our children, as well as prepare our wills and organize a lot of documents for the future. It was quite an undertaking, but in the end we felt so much relief and blessing in knowing that we're taking care of our family as best as we can :-) God is a God of order, and He certainly pushed us towards a new level this past year! Such a HUGE blessing!

Shaun has thrived at Rackspace since starting there in 2011. This past December he was promoted to Lead Tech, and has taken on a more specific role with customers. I'm proud of his hard work, dedication, and never-ending desire to learn more.

This spring we took a family road trip through north Texas. It was long overdue, and we all LOVED it. I enjoyed coordinating the details in advance, and we all indulged like little kids while we traveled the state. We have an even stronger love for Lego's in our house now...Lego Land was one of the hi-lights that is still talked about daily by David and James.

This spring, Shaun also made himself a goal of losing weight. He wanted to return to being under 200 pounds. This week he met his goal!! He has lost 46 pounds over 4 months through running, Crossfit, calorie counting, and self control around sweets. I am SO proud of his hard work!! What an accomplishment. I also have to say that sometimes if I see him from a far distance I barely recognize him.

God has given us so much delight in our precious boys. We have enjoyed being the parents of young boys, and have learned to love the things they love (Superheroes, Legos, Star Wars). Or maybe our kids have learned to love the things we love ;-) Either way, there is much fun to be had in this house!!

We are daily learning new things in parenting...sometimes it is quite a challenge! The most rewarding thing is hearing our boys say something sincerely out of appreciation or kindness, especially sharing what they learned about God.

Summer is in full force now, and I *thought* it would be more relaxing and easy going. But the boys have TONS of energy...I have no idea where they get it :) We've been going to the pool, splash park, park, and Chick-fil-a every day. Plus the boys have participated in various VBS camps. I cherish this time with them...they will both be in preschool next fall two days a week. It's hard to believe in a year from now David will be starting Kindergarten. Wasn't he just a newborn?!?

I am looking forward to what this next year holds in store. Shaun and I will both be participating in Bible Study Fellowship, so our whole family will get to study the book of Matthew in depth and learn together! We have also been visiting a new church and already feel at home! Several friends of ours have moved in the past few weeks, and we will miss those special friendships. I pray that this next year God continues to build our existing friendships, as well as start new ones....for David and James especially!!

Overall, this past year we can testify to God's provision. He never fails!! We are beyond blessed by God's gift of marriage, love, and faithfulness. I have found the one who my soul loves...happy 7 years!!

Aww, I just love your sincerity. Happy anniversary my friend. I am blessed to know y'all. God was at work with that one. Did you know that Tim has a baby girl?
