He continues to grow so much in all areas of life! Little brother James adores him and is sad when they're separated. David has a tender spirit, but is determined and brave as well. He is learning so much about Jesus and remembers details of Bible stories!
He's definitely a climber and has quickly overcome difficult rock walls, as well as things that aren't intended to be scaled--door frames, poles, etc.
His favorites include: Star Wars, particularly the Millennium Falcon, Chewbacca, R2-D2, Darth Vader, and Stormtroopers. All things Lego. Puzzles- and boy is he GOOD!
David is learning to read, write, and reason! He's such a fast and eager learner :)
Here are some memorable interactions from the past year:
| - During a tempter
tantrum, David told mommy: I'm not going to marry you, I'm going to marry daddy. - At preschool David's teacher Ms. Donna made a little page telling about each student. One line said "when I grow up I want to be a _______." What did David say to fill in the blank?! He said he wants to be a storm trooper!!! - As Shaun is shaving, David yells "Noooo, you can't cut your fur. You have to be Chewbacca." Daddy: David, I think you're going to lose your sticker for the day (behavior chart). David's reply: Well I think you're going to lose your vitamins. - From the bathroom I hear David say, "James, come here quickly. NOW. I'm about to toot and you're gonna miss it." - David announced to his BSF teachers that his mommy was having two baby boys- such an imagination :) - We had just discovered that someone egged our porch last night. What was David's response? "Awwwe, look a baby bird hatched." |
We love us some David! Never a dull moment...
