This past year James has become very conversational. He says so many endearing things such as:
- "Coffee's burning" (when the tea kettle starts to whistle)
- "It's not looking-at-poop-day" (in response to David wanting to see his poop)
- "My poop's still sleeping (when I asked him to try to potty)
- "Uncle Mike must be allergic to snakes" (after hearing he was sick with allergies)
- "When is he (the hamster) going to learn to speak English?"
- James says "es-snooze me" for excuse me
- James was playing and pretending to be Prince Cappian (Caspian)
- James loves quoting a commercial for printed t-shirts.
He randomly blurts out "Thanks, custom ink!"
- While Shaun was driving and talking to Rachel, James interrupted and said
"whoa whoa whoa, hold your horses."
James is observant, creative, and curious. He is always learning new things even when he is being quiet (which is less often now)! He has an eagerness to learn about God and ask questions. He loves doing what big brother David is doing and tries to copy him :) The two play so well together and are best friends!
Some highlights from this past year include:
- Going to pre-school at the WEE school
- Going to see Shaun's family in Nevada with SNOW and going to Lake Tahoe
- Going to Dallas to visit with Shaun's brother and cousin Luke at Lego Land and other places
- Getting a pet hamster
- Lots of summer day camps and activities
- Becoming POTTY TRAINED!!!
We celebrated by going to a Texas Toy Expo that had comics, superheros, Star Wars, Legos, and Hot Wheels....all things of interest to the birthday boy!
David loved getting James a gift this year and shared genuine excitement while he opened them!
We had an oreo "dirt" cake with special dinosaur gummies...
We are so thankful for our precious James and look forward to the year ahead! We love us some James!
