This past month David has gotten to taste rice cereal in addition to a variety of baby foods. He disliked carrots at first (the Gerber brand tasted like bland marinara sauce), but thanks to the Beech Nut brand David LOVES carrots now....almost as much as sweet potatoes and squash.
David has officially started teething! He got his first tooth on last Thursday! He now brings everything to his mouth--including our hands, burp cloths, empty bottles, bibs, and anything he can grip in his hand. He also studies his toys more intently and focuses on the small details...such as the tag on his bear (seen in the picture below).
David still "coos" alot, but has added a few fluctuations here and there, and some "ymmmm" sounds when we feed him. He is very interactive and smiles in response to our facial expressions.
David has also shown signs of being ticklish. A few weeks ago he would giggle when I put baby lotion behind his ears. Now he laughs when we tickle his tummy. It is so cute to hear him squeal and smile.
It may be hard to see, but if you enlarge the picture below you should be able to see David's tooth! I could not get a good close-up of it, although I sure tried!
I am so blessed to have a content and joyful baby. He brings life and adventure each day! I am so thankful that I get to stay at home with him and be a full time Mommy.

I can't believe it!! 5 months already- it's been great seeing you guys these last few weeks (even if we didn't get to talk)- we miss y'all!
