Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is the only mountain zoo in the United States. It is tucked into Cheyenne Mountain and offers many scenic views. We enjoyed walking through it and introducing David to many different animals for the first time.



This chimp was very active and friendly...waving and jumping and trying to get attention.

David got to pet a few animals. He was so gentle and calm with them.

There was a house called Budgie Buddies where birds flew around inside and would land on your hand if you had food. David got to touch a few birds that Daddy lured onto his hand.

Our favorite exhibit was the giraffe feeding area. We were able to buy crackers and feed them to the giraffes. David loved getting to meet new animals!
