How can it have been two years already?! Am I really the mother of a two year old boy?
Our precious David turns two on Friday! What a sweet blessing this child has been for us. God has taught us so much by giving us this incredible boy David (and of course his little brother James).
David has grown and transitioned in many ways this past year. Shortly before his first birthday we found out he'd become a big brother at the end of the summer. He's been so loving and kind since the day his little brother James was born. He gives James lots of hugs and "kiss kisses."
David loves to "help." He is always looking for a task....whether we give one to him, or he creates one for himself. He's so quick to throw away trash, put shoes where they belong, close any doors that are open, move laundry piles to the laundry room....the list goes on. He's definitely our little busy-bee!
David has become very communicative. Some of the words he has mastered are: ball, cat, ice, gate, push, shoe, car, no (not so happy about this one!), fish, fork. He has other words that we know what he's saying, but they're not fully pronounced. He's learned alot of names and can point people out from pictures. He loves one of his girl friends Petra, and calls her "peh peh"...so sweet. He often "texts" her and "calls" her from his toy phone.
David's all-time favorite movie is Disney/Pixar's "Cars." We've watched it atleast once a day this past month. I'm ready for him to find a new favorite :)
David loves coloring, sitting at his toddler table, riding in his cozy coupe car, swinging, wrestling with his daddy, holding his little brother on his lap, and cuddling next to mommy (only when he is really tired). He begs for us to put his shoes on because he associates shoes with getting to go somewhere. He's so active and is always on the move!
Some cute thing things that he has done:
We got him a "Cars" night light to help with the toddler bed transition. The first night we set it up, he pulled it out of the wall and cuddled with it like a teddy bear. We of course had to move it to higher ground, but loved seeing him sleeping with his nightlight tucked in his hand.
My mom has a Boston Terrier named "Buster." David calls him " Bah", and we understand what he means when he says it. We recently bought him a thermal shirt with a little pocket logo that happened to be the face of a Boston Terrier. He kept saying "Bah" and I didn't understand why he was asking for my mom's dog. Then he went and got the shirt out of the basket and pointed to the logo. What an observant boy!! So proud of his reasoning skills :)
This post barely captures the joy that David has brought this past year. I just wanted to point out some of the hilights and milestones. He's an incredible blessing!

I recently came across your blog and wanted to take a moment of your time to inquire about any guest posting opportunities that you may have on your blog. I've written an informational and educational article on the importance of early childhood education that I believe your readers of (http://gardinergab.blogspot.com/) would be interested in.
Thank you in advance for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you.
