Last Thursday Shaun and I celebrated our 5th anniversary! We've decided that each year we will try our best to do something on the actual day of our anniversary. This year my mom offered to watch the boys for us and let them spend the night at her house!
We went downtown to the Riverwalk and spent most of the day walking around, then eating some delicious steak and seafood at Boudro's. It made me think of eating surf 'n turf at Pebble Beach when we were on our honeymoon.
We stayed at the beautiful Hotel Contessa and had a wonderful view of the Riverwalk. We were so glad to have stayed downtown on a weeknight since there were less crowds. What a great getaway!
The next day my mom still offered to watch the boys for us. So where did we decide to go with our free time? None other than the Bracken Range. Nothing spells romance like firing a couple rounds for target practice!! I really enjoyed it...honestly! And I think I've found a new hobby :)
I'm so thankful for our time together and my mom's willingness to watch the boys for us! What a special week!
