Randomness

I've been trying to remember some funny random things from this week. I decided to post them so that I don't have to try to retain them all :) Most of them are things that David has either said or done!

I recently called James "J Dawg" as a nickname, then right after I said that David smiled at James and said "hi, doggie." Guess that name won't work!

I made stuffed meatballs for dinner the other night and David loved them. We told him what they were and he kept saying "meat-fee-ball." "Fee-ball" is what he says for "football." So he was in essence saying "meat-football." We corrected him, then he said "meat-bask-ball" Meaning "meat basket ball." I love his toddler logic :)

David knows that he is NOT allowed to touch the bookshelves in our living room. Now that James is crawling David will lead James to the bookshelves. David will stand next to them and let James reach up and touch them. Then David will immediately report to us that James is in trouble. Sneaky sneaky...and James has no idea what David did to him!

James has gotten used to David taking toys from him and he is content as long as someone is in the room with him. James has never shown an attachment to any toys until recently. There is a blue rubber hippo toy that he plays with during bath time. He now screams when I take it away from him...I smile-- not because he's upset-- but because he's showing an interest in something he likes! He does the same thing whenever I take away the balloon that we get at the checkout counter at HEB.

I have noticed a lot of similarities between the two boys, but there is one major difference that stands out! Here is a picture to help me explain...

David is a super tidy and organized eater. Everything has to be clean and not mixed on his plate. If he gets a dab of food on his hands, face, or placemat he cannot proceed with his dinner until we wipe it up. James on the other hand....well...the picture above captures it all. He's not afraid of a mess. In fact I think he enjoys making it!!

Your boys are great! and so are you! It is fun to read how they compare and it's so funny to hear how David is as a big brother! Hope you're having fun!
