This year we had a first-ever combined family dinner at our house. We hosted Shaun's mom, step dad, brother, and sister, as well as my mom and youngest brother...plus us and the boys, of course! We had an enjoyable time and David loved being the center of attention!!
Shaun had to work the day after Thanksgiving which was completely fine with me since it kept me from being tempted to shop on Black Friday! The next day we went downtown on the Riverwalk and enjoyed the cold weather, holiday lights, and yummy Mexican food from Casa Rio. I didn't realize how much James loves chicken fajita meat...boy did he devour his food!
Overall the holiday weekend was a blessing! We finished out the weekend by going to a potluck with our Life Group and catching up with our friends. So much good food and memories this past week :) And many more blessings to be thankful for from this past year...
