David's Birthday and KDO Presentation

This past week has been quite exciting for David. He's had many birthday activities, as well as Christmas activities. He gets confused when he asks if it is for "his happy birthday" or "Jesus' happy birthday!" It's pretty special that their birthdays are a week apart :)







We had a little party for David and his friends last week. David looked outside the front window for over an hour before the party started...waiting for the arrival of his guests. He also sang happy birthday to himself while he was waiting, as well as looking at the pinata that we would have at his party. He was stoaked!! He's been waiting to celebrate his birthday since this past summer when he started getting invited to multiple birthday parties :)


Then he had a few Christmas activities at Kid's Day Out where he celebrated Jesus' birthday! We've also been doing our Jesse Tree advent calendar that counts down to Jesus' birthday, so he's been going back and forth between whose celebration we were talking about! David participated in KDO's Christmas program and did well with singing and remembering some hand motions for the Christmas songs.





Then today (his actual birthday) we had a family lunch at the house. David again looked out the window as he eagerly awaited his guests! This morning when we woke up we sang happy birthday to him then asked him what he'd like for breakfast. He informed us that he was going to eat CAKE! Yes, David. This boy is definitely our child :)
