David is truly a delight to our family. He is such a blessing every day!
Here are some memorable things from this past year:
- Getting to see Grandpa Pat when he came to town to visit
- Discovering the wonderful world of Rackspace, their awesome slide, and the nerf wars there. He asks multiple times a week to go see Daddy at work :)
- Participating in the YMCA's "Little Dribblers" basketball team
- Going to a family reunion for Rachel's family. David got to meet some of his relatives for the first time, plus play with several of his cousins.
- Taking swim lessons last summer. David really gained confidence in the water and learned to love the pool.
- Participating in another YMCA activity "Little Kickers" soccer team
- Going to his first (of many, I'm sure!) real baseball games
- Starting T-Ball at the YMCA as well. I think this was by far his favorite sport to try! The parent involvement really made it special for the kids :)
- A continued and growing love for all things "superhero." I myself have had to become educated about each character so that I do not mistakenly call a superhero by the wrong name!
- David has learned so much this year, and has a love for reading and doing puzzles. He can do 200+ piece puzzles without difficulty :-)
- David loves being a big brother, and plays so well with James. He has such a tender heart, and oftentimes tries to comfort him or reassure him when he is crying or upset.
- Most importantly, David has come to understand more about God. He loves hearing Bible stories, and particularly doing our Jesse Tree advent calendar.
Here are some fun pictures from this past year. I'll do a separate post after his birthday celebration :)
Puzzle whiz...trust me, that sun is a tricky part of the puzzle. But not for David!

No fear of the water
Being brothers comes before being superheroes :)

Super brothers
First time to go to a San Antonio Missions baseball game
David painted this all by himself!
We love our little David...forever and ever and ever!
