We went to Bigz for an early birthday dinner with Nana, Uncle Mike, and Aunt Liz!
Then on his actual birthday, we spent lots of time at the park, got the boys haircuts (which David would do everyday if given the option!), went to the gym so he could climb the rock wall (he had to be four years old as a minimum to climb), went to Babe's burgers for arcade games and dinner, then went home for cake and presents! What a busy 24 hours of celebrating...he had a blast :)
On the morning of his birthday while we were talking about the birthday plans, David interjected, "the scab on my ankle is taking a very long time to heal, but not before I get a facial beard like Daddy's." He's been referring to that for a long time!
Sweet James loved all the activities as well. He began to assume that he would automatically get another cupcake each time he said "happy birthday." Both my boys definitely have a sweet tooth...guess it runs in the family ;-) Come January, they will wonder where all the Christmas candy, holiday baked goods, and birthday cake went!!
As per his request, may the fourth be with you, David...

David was so brave! He made it half way up the beginner wall!
Can't wait to try again :)
