Spring Break

Spring break came, and with it ushered in the South Texas 93 degree afternoons! Winter has gone, spring has gone before it even arrived, and now we feel like summer is here!

We had some beautiful days over spring break and enjoyed outdoor activities with the boys. The boys' cousin Lera stayed the week at my Mom's so we had several play dates with her. Here are some of the hilights of the week...

First and foremost, James adamantly demanded that he pee pee in the potty. We had not even tried potty training yet, but I took him to the toilet and he succeeded! I will wait until the end of the school year to start potty training so he can be more consistent wherever he goes :) He is very proud of his new-found skill though! He even said, "pee pee in the potty, poo poo in the bathtub?" Yes, and no please, James ;)

One of the big outings for the week was a trip to Kiddie Park. I have fond memories of playing there as a child, and the last time I had been there was when I was pregnant with James. So this was the first trip back with BOTH of my boys :)

Overall, we enjoyed the relaxed schedule and got to play with Nana, Lera, and lots of our friends. It was still nice to get back into a routine since I think the boys (and I) needed some structured activities throughout the week again! I've already started putting things on our summer calendar :)
